Our client, an international innovation IT product  company with offices in 18 countries, is looking for candidates to fill in the position  Help Desk Engineer

Work place: Kyiv, Ukraine

Responsibilities

  • Managing ticket queue in an internal system
  • Maintaining card access system
  • Handling hardware purchasing process
  • HW install/upgrades accounting and assignments
  • Managing and supporting equipment pool
  • Maintaining and servicing scanners and printers
  • Producing inventory: taking stock of the resources or items on hand according to quality and time requirements
  • Maintaining VoIP service
  • Managing IT equipment in meeting rooms
  • Preparing manuals and filling knowledge base

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) is a plus
  • English: intermediate+
